Extreme Ironing Adventure sports fans are being challenged to take up extreme ironing by ferry company Stena Line. The company has created a website - www.goextremeironing - to allow those taking part to upload their photographs with the hope of winning free travel and other goodies. A recent ad campaign launched by Stena Line shows a group of young people packing the car and heading off on an 'extreme ironing' trip. It has inspired the company's staff and customers to take to hill and dale with their ironing boards in an attempt to outdo each other in pursuit of taking the most outrageous photograph in the most outlandish location. Stena Line chose extreme ironing because they wanted to emphasise that travel with them is smooth (and hassle-free compared to air travel) and also because they wanted to highlight the amount of luggage you can fit when you take a driving holiday by ferry (incomparable to what you can take when flying).
