Gate to Sarek - Lake Laitaure and Skierfe. Jokkmokk, Norrbotten, Sweden

We enjoyed two whole days paddling and hiking in Lake Laitaure and Rapaätno delta at the gates of Sarek National Park. Kungsleden hiking trail goes through Lake Laitaure via boat transfer. This is a true Swedish wilderness as nearest public roads to Sitoälv walking bridge, Kvikkjokk and Akkajaure are far away. One could transfer kayaks to Lake Laitaure via dirt road by carrying on wheels or by asking locals for transport. Aktse mountain hut is located on Lake Laitaure mountain slope and along Kungsleden hiking trail. If one loves to experience mountain wilderness and solitude this is a wonderful nature paradise.
