It's an event that's become a must since 2002: Paris Plages returns every year for even more relaxation, sunshine and ice cream by the water. From July 8 to September 3, 2023, the banks of the Seine, the Bassin de La Villette and the Trocadéro await you to enjoy a wonderful summer in Paris.
Enjoy swimming and water sports in the Bassin de la Villette, as well as a wide range of family activities. Games, readers and exhibitions are all part of this summer event, which transforms Paris into a seaside resort.
In early July, a range of free cultural and sporting activities will be on offer, including exhibitions, sports sessions, a toy library and an open-air library. For those looking to relax, don't worry, as sand, deckchairs and parasols will once again be set up on the banks of the Seine (Paris Centre) and around the Bassin de la Villette (19th arrondissement).
This edition also brings improvements to the landscaping of the leisure and relaxation areas, with more palm trees, mulberry trees, and new refreshment areas incorporating more greenery. In addition, conditions permitting, five temporary swims will be organized during the summer.
