Timelessly elegant design classic from Sweden in very good condition.

This model, often referred to as a "dome" or "beehive", was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in the 1950s/60s for his own company in Markaryd, Sweden.

This example is an original from the 1960s, made of aluminum.

The lamp comes from first hand and still has all the manufacturer's markings - both inside the lamp and in the canopy, which is obviously still original (see penultimate picture).

The body of the lamp consists of five round metal elements that organically overlap and are connected to each other in a sophisticated way inside the lamp by a blue-gray painted ring suspension. The light emerges from the inside of the lamp through the spaces between the metal elements to the outside, so that they filter the light like slats and make it glare-free. The lamp also provides glare-free light downwards.

The lamp is in a very good, untouched original condition with minimal, inconspicuous signs of age. The body is free of dents, bumps, abrasions and other defects. The delicate and often tarnished metal shines beautifully and only has a few superficial and inconspicuous scratches that are virtually invisible when hung (collected in the last picture).
