Identification
- White tail
- Two yellow bands on the thorax and one yellow band on the abdomen
- Head is heart-shaped (not longer than wide) when looked at face-on
- Can be confused with Bombus hortorum, but in this species the face is significantly longer than wide
Habitat
Common and found in a wide range of habitats, including parks and gardens.

February-October
Nesting biology
Nests aerially in cavities, as well as on and under the ground.
