A DOCTOR has made the shocking claim that our souls can live on after death, meaning that we can be reincarnated and live again after our bodies die.

The Express reports that some of these children have memories from a past life or have scars and birthmarks in the same places as people they claim to be reincarnated from.
In Dr Tucker's book, Life After Life: A Scientific Investigation of Children's Memories of Previous Lives, he explores the cases of the 2,500 children he interviewed.
And the University of Virginia psychiatrist claims the children are proof that our consciousness can live on long after our bodies perish.
The supernatural theory centres on the idea that our souls exist as energy on a subatomic level - something physicists have been investigating for years.
And although these researchers can't exactly pin down what our soul, or consciousness, really is, many believe that it can exist separately from our bodies.
Whilst that may all sound like a wild conspiracy theory, some researchers are adamant that quantum mechanics can be used to explain our soul's permanence.
Dr Tucker has adopted the theory that consciousness is released into the universe after death, claiming that the soul can then find a new host after the original one dies.
Speaking to NPR, he said: "Some leading scientists in the past, like Max Planck, who's the father of quantum theory, said that he viewed consciousness as fundamental and that matter was derived from it.
“So in that case, it would mean that consciousness would not necessarily be dependent on a physical brain in order to survive, and could continue after the physical brain and after the body dies.
“In these cases, it seems - at least, on the face of it - that a consciousness has then become attached to a new brain, and has shown up as past life memories.”

The claim reinforces the research of British scientist Sir Roger Penrose, who argues that consciousness is simply a packet of information stored at a quantum - or subatomic - level.
Sensationally, he recently claimed to have found evidence that this information, which is stored in microtubules within human cells, leaves the body after a person dies.
