Manga Authors Pen One-Shots for Shounen Jump's 50th Anniversary

The first 2018 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump has announced on Monday that a number of notable manga authors who were serialized in the magazine will pen one-shots in commemoration of its 50th anniversary in 2018.

The second and third combined issue of the magazine will publish NisiOisiN (Medaka Box) and Mizuki Kawashita's (Ichigo 100%) one-shot titled Part Threes on December 11. The sixth issue will contain a one-shot by Naoshi Komi (Nisekoi) on January 4. The later 2018 issues of the magazine will include one-shots by Tite Kubo (Bleach), Kyousuke Usuta (Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoi yo! Masaru-san), Hiroshi Shiibashi (Nurarihyon no Mago), Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro (Toriko), and Ryuuhei Tamura (Beelzebub).

In addition, three novice authors will launch two new manga series in the magazine's upcoming issues. Ryouji Hirano will publish his Bozebeats manga in the seventh issue on January 15, while Tatsuya Matsukita and Shiro Usazaki will launch their Act-age manga in the eighth issue on January 22. Hirano published the Boze one-shot in the magazine last year on March 28. Matsukita and Usazaki published their Asagaya Geijutsu Koukou Eizou-ka e Youkoso one-shot in the magazine earlier this year on January 30.

The issue further revealed that Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter manga will resume its serialization in the magazine's ninth issue on January 29. The manga went on hiatus in September with plans to resume within this year.

A lot of big names over here are coming back, honestly I'm looking forward to some of them, especially the one from Kubo, Isin, Mitsutoshi and Komi. I think Komi can do another good one-shot since his last one was really fucking good. So we'll have to see.

This is just a news article full of greatness. Glad Kubo is coming back. I've missed him despite the troubles with Bleach, the man is an excellent artist.

AND HUNTER X HUNTER BACK. I hope Togashi is doing well enough to be doing this much. But everyone is so into this arc that everyone will be HYPED.

Def looking forward to Kubo's one shot the most this time. Been waiting for new stuff from him since Bleach ended, I know he got those novels writing but manga is manga.

Come on Kubo give us something good, not too much white on the pages though xD it's a one-shot after all and you've had plenty of time to rest and recover from Bleach.
