Huawei doesn't slow down devices with updates, but they're manufactured to be slower.
Apple and Huawei said this is done to preserve battery.
You can't really blame apple becus when they sold you the phone they didn't even promise continuous OS updates (many gens ago) and no other phones from the same generation function as good as generations passed by.
What I meant by mentioning Huawei:
They used cortex A76 instead of cortex A77

No one force you to be a fan. You can just stop acting.
Btw Huawei still uses android after it 'threaten' to remove Google from existence with it's new harmony OS.
This is one major example of what you don't understand.
All my friends said Huawei is like King and act so much like conspirators saying harmony OS will rule when it comes out in *Jan 2019. And what I told them was that's not gonna happen.
I have lost for words if you still wanna backfire with rubbish talk, just go ahead, it do you no good, and pls stop pushing this message down the line for other readers.

I also can say I just throw my iPhone 12 Pro max away just because the ugly screen on the top. No design at all and change back to old design like iPhone 4 lol.

Apple did, iOS update slow down the phone and maintained the battery life. No charger included, fast charge like 5years technology so slow. Optical zoom like midrange phone.

I admit xiaomi has much more glitches.
But you're not mentioning what Huawei's Honor has done.
It's not just Honor, not Huawei, but that phone was under Huawei.
First of all Huawei tricked us all by not giving us adequate OS update. Only 1 significant OS update while others with same chip like P20 gets much more update.
Secondly they intentionally degrade the speed. or was it cheating on benchmarks. I forgot the details.
Last of all, you who spend like $1000 on Huawei flagship could've bought an flagship iPhone.
You are still fooling yourself that iPhones are expensive, and you bought the more expensive Huawei phone that doesn't even need to pay for Google loyalties anymore, their cost decreased but price increased.
Let this be a reminder that Huawei and Apple are at the same
Grade but their products are not.
Don't get manipulated and let Huawei take all your money.
Their phones are worse than Xiaomi but cost much more.

The original honor play I had I thrown away, cuz the chip is too crap. Don't trust Huawei, only non geeks get scam by them. Their advertising although is very much the reality, but you don't understand what they put up for advertising, it's manipulation.
I switched for Mi10 last year and the difference is quite significant. Gaming is as smooth as it gets.
Although we have phones that are better in terms of power, that additional power is not yet being used by any app.
What I meant is the extra power is too much and became useless. Not even a single game gives advantages to the next gen.

I bought an Honor 8 phone back in 10/2015. Recently when i went into T-Mobile the clerk asked me its age. He was mildly surprised. As phones now are getting glass front & backs. Zoom, beauty, & macro mode all included. Has 2 cameras, Type C, IR, NFC. 5.5 years and still runs perfect. So buying any Honor device is great wish i could buy a new one.

I've been using the Honor play which came in 2018, it still works fast. because they have a ARM chip with custom software, a little like apple if you may.

Huawei always had most comfortable s/w backed with great h/w, now only we have to see what & how will Honor's s/w work, but it will be better than xiaomi for sure!!

The play 4 is like nearly two hundred with a Helio P35 which is trash. They are so far off the pace, it's like they've been lapped.

You get way better specs from Xiaomi for the same price as Honor and Honor have the taste of Huawei ban for google support. For the people who know that honor was huawei sister brand or something.
While Honor V40 Lite have same 800U cpu it cost 390 euro then i dont think that Honor play 5 will cost under 300 euro and for that price you get phones with SD860 and Dimensity 1200 already that both are 2 times more powerful based on the numbers we get from Antutu benchmark.
And by looking the gsma price for play 5T Youth that is coming with Helio P35 and 720p+ screen it's estimated price is around 170 euro. You already have Redmi note 10 4G version that have FHD+ screen that is AMOLED and SD678 in it that will beat it with price and specs Or the note 10 Pro with SD732 and other good specs and be also under the price for this Honor Play 5. Poco X3 Pro with SD860 also around 270 euro phone or F3 Pro that is already SD870 phone.
Honor is competing with Samsung, Nokia and the like so they wont beat Xiaomi in these prices and hardware
