Mike He denies forced into marriage
21 Jun - Taiwanese actor Mike He has dismissed rumours saying that he was forced into marrying his girlfriend due to her pregnancy.
As reported on Liberty Times, the aforementioned rumours sparked recently after the actor made a shocking announcement last week saying that he has actually been married to his non-showbiz girlfriend and that they already have a four-month old daughter they called Mei Bao.
Speaking to the media at an event recently, Mike slammed the forced marriage rumours as nonsense, saying, "This rumour is too much. I will not rule out taking legal action to resolve this."
Mike clarified that he and his wife have known each other for a long time, and started dating after they were reunited in 2012.
The actor also stated that he was not disturbed at all when being told about the pregnancy, adding that he was happy with the news. The only reason that he kept the pregnancy a secret, said Mike, was to respect his wife's privacy.
He also expressed his frustration that the tabloids made up stories about his wife, who has nothing to do with the industry, without even asking them for clarification.
