Republican 1st District candidate Karoline Leavitt releases Q2 fundraising total
In the 1st Congressional District Republican primary, Karoline Leavitt is reporting a $344,000 haul in the second quarter of 2022. The campaign is touting the figure as a personal fundraising record, saying the candidate is “smashing expectations” in the race to take on Rep. Chris Pappas, the Democratic incumbent, in the fall. "I continue to be humbled by the outpouring of support from voters across New Hampshire who are committed to sending a homegrown, conservative candidate to Congress,” Leavitt said. “While my opponents are backed by the D.C. establishment, I have continued to outwork them on the ground and earn significantly more support from the people of New Hampshire.” While the campaign is not releasing a cash-on-hand total, it says it has taken in $1.2 million since Leavitt launched her campaign last summer. Matt Mowers, the 2020 GOP nominee in CD-1, is the pace-setter for fundraising in this Republican primary – News 9 reported on Tuesday that he brought in $385,000 for Q2 – but this announcement from the Leavitt campaign shows she is not far behind for the quarter.
