Radcliff residents win $2M and $1M on this week's Powerball
Two people from Radcliff were big Powerball winners this week.
Kentucky Lottery officials said that man came to the headquarters on Wednesday to cash his $1 million Powerball ticket.
Officials said that man called his wife and told her he thought he was having a heart attack after finding out he won.
“Oh my god, do I need to call 911,” she asked. “I told her, ‘No, I think I won the lottery. We just won a million dollars!”
The man ended up taking home $715,05 after taxes. The couple told lottery officials they plan to pay off their home and purchase one for their son with the winnings.
"It sure is a merry Christmas," the man's wife added.
The Walmart on Gateway Crossing Boulevard in Radcliff sold the winning ticket and will receive $10,000.
Someone won the first place prize of $2 million on the Powerball but has not come forward yet. This ticket was also sold in Radcliff.
