Celebrity Big Brother contestant Kerry Katona has failed in her secret mission to be chosen as the house’s biggest diva – and could now be voted off the show.

The other housemates on the Channel 5 programme named pop twins Jedward as the biggest divas there.

Reality show veteran Katona, who first found fame as one third of Atomic Kitten, had volunteered to go to the diary room on Thursday night when Big Brother ordered one of the freshly arrived housemates to do so.

She was given a secret mission to be chosen as the house’s biggest diva in today’s vote, which involved her throwing a celebrity tantrum and shouting “Don’t you know who I am?” three times.

However her fellow housemates all chose John and Edward Grimes as the biggest divas, with the only vote for Katona coming from herself.

Later she was told by Big Brother that her punishment for failing in her mission was that she would be up for eviction and face the public vote this week.

She was also told to nominate two other housemates to face possible eviction, and chose model Bobby Sabel and Sally Bercow, wife of House of Commons speaker John Bercow.

Amid her protestations of “This is awful”, she chose Sabel, “because I don’t really know him”, and Bercow, who she said was “someone I haven’t got anything in common with”.

Later she was in tears after going back to see the other housemates.

Viewers were told to vote for the person they want to save, because the one with the least votes would be leaving next Friday.

Earlier there was an amusing exchange between beautician Amy Childs, who found fame through her appearances in ITV2’s “structured reality show” The Only Way is Essex, and Jedward.

Discussing Sally Bercow, Amy told the fast-talking pair: “She’s an MP, an MP means she owns ... I think she sort of owns the House of Commons, she owns it with her husband.”

Sally admitted earlier that her husband “wasn’t very pleased” that she had joined the new-look reality show.

She said she was taking part to “stick two fingers up to the Establishment” but also to raise £100,000 for the charity Ambitious About Autism.

Viewers were told that a “billionaire lodger” would be appearing in the house over the weekend.
