After starring in dramas like Gilmore Girls and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Alexis Bledel knows what it’s like to keep a secret, and she’s been hiding a big one for quite some time now. After one of her costars from Gilmore Girls let it slip during an interview this week, Bledel was forced to come clean about her joyous but long-hidden news: Last fall she and husband Vincent Kartheiser welcomed a baby boy. The couple met while filming Mad Men back in 2012 and were married in 2014, and this is the first child for 34-year-old Bledel and 37-year-old Kartheiser.
It’s a big year for Bledel, not only because she has become a new mom, but also because she’s been surrounded by the major hype caused by Netflix’s announcement of its imminent release of a Gilmore Girls revival later this year.
