Exclusive: The ballad of Jax Teller's legendary 'Sons of Anarchy' bike

With all the motorcycles that appeared on the seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy — and since it was a show about a biker gang, there were quite a few — one 1946 Harley stood out for one reason: No one ever took the bike of John Teller, dad to SOA club president Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam), out for a joy ride.

This exclusive clip from the Sons of Anarchy: Season 7 collection (out on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday) looks at the interesting journey of the iconic chopper, from when it was blown up — along with the crew's club house — in Season 6 to Jax salvaging it (to maintain the link with his late father), painting the bike blue to match club colors and then riding it in the show's final episode. Because it was finally getting some action, though, the show's creative staff didn't want to ruin the bike so they ended up taking a 2013 Harley Softail, stripping off all the modern accoutrements and making it as close a match to the vintage vehicle as they could.
