Marco Borriello's hopes of making a flying start to his second spell at AC Milan have taken a blow after the forward was ruled out for two months with a knee injury.
Training blow
The 26-year-old Italian international tore cartilage in his right knee during training on Saturday and will undergo surgery in Antwerp, Belgium, tomorrow. Borriello scored 19 goals in 35 Serie A games last season for Genoa CFC, the club who partly own his playing licence, to earn a spot in the Azzurri's squad for UEFA EURO 2008™ where he did not feature. The Rossoneri enter the UEFA Cup in the first round on 18 September after finishing fifth in Italy last term.
