This beautifully-illustrated Jack and the Beanstalk colouring booklet provides a perfect mindfulness story exercise for children (and adults!) who are looking to relax and unwind, taking in a classic fairy tale as they go.
I add these to the colouring in pile for the parents who sit with their kids so that they have something to colour in. It amazes me how many parents join in
We'll use this to make a story book ready for our theatre trip. This is lovely, thank you.
A beautifully illustrated version of this story. We have used it in Focus Groups, where the children have been colouring it as they tell me the story. Then we made it into a laminated book for the Reading Area, so the children could read it themselves, knowing that they helped make it. A fantastic resource; I would love to see more like this!

Colouring has a multitude of benefits for young children. Kids can develop their fine motor skills as they try and colour within the lines. This is amplified with mindfulness colouring such as this, as children really have to concentrate on their accuracy.
Jack and the Beanstalk is a classic fairy tale for kids, first written in 1734. It tells the story of Jack, a young boy from a poor family. One day, he heads to the local market, and trades the prized family cow for some magic beans.
Overnight, these magic beans grow into a giant beanstalk, which grew up into the clouds. Jack decided to climb up, and he reached a beautiful castle in the sky.
Suddenly, Jack heard a booming voice call out "Fee Fi Fo Fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman." Jack was scared, and tried to escape and run back home, picking up the giant's magical hen in the process.
The giant tried to follow Jack down the beanstalk, but Jack's mother took an axe to the bottom, sending the giant crashing down to the ground. The giant was never seen again, and, thanks to their new magical hen, Jack's family were rich.
