Green Giant’s iconic Jolly Green Giant statue in Blue Earth, Minn., will now sport a mustache — at least during November.
The Parsippany, N.J.-based food company said it gave its giant facial hair in a marketing partnership with the Movember Foundation, which raises money and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Many men customarily grow mustaches for this reason. Green Giant is encouraging this practice.
The 55-foot-tall Jolly Green Giant‘s own mustache weighs in at 15 pounds and measures 4 feet across.
Green Giant is also adding mustaches to giant images on its social channels, and on a billboard in New York City’s Times Square.
