Alchemist’s Tools

Expanded Alchemist’s Tools (100 gp): This alchemist’s toolkit is just as good as bringing the whole lab with you. It has more than the typical alchemist’s kit and imparts a +1 bonus to Intelligence (Alchemist’s Tools) checks for those proficient with it.

  • Glass beakers and petri dishes: For taking samples
  • Metal frame: to hold vessels over fire
  • Glass stirring rod
  • Mortar and Pestle
  • Alembic or Retort: Used for distilling substances.
  • Aludel: Used for turning gas into liquid through condensation
  • Drying pistol: A glass apparatus to dry a sample using heat
  • Desiccator: A sealed wide jar used for drying
  • Evaporating dishes: For evaporating excess solvents to produce a concentrated solution or precipitate.
  • Crucible: For operating at high heats, such as with metals
  • Graduated cylinders: For measuring liquid volume
  • Scale and weights: For measuring weights
  • Pipettes: For drawing a precise amount of liquid from a vessel
  • Pouch of ingredients (cinnabar, salt, sulfur, iron, purified water)
