Yellow Ferrari F50 heads to auction; could fetch $4.5 million!

In 1995, Ferrari decided to build a new supercar to celebrate its 50th anniversary. It was called the Ferrari F50, which is one of the most highly sought-after models today. Only 349 cars were built, out of which only 31 examples, were finished in the bright yellow shade of Giallo Modena.

Now, Sotheby’s Sealed is offering a chance to own one of these rare Ferrari F50s. Given how special this car is, it is expected to sell for around $3.8-4.5 million when it goes under the hammer on October 1, 2023.

The Ferrari F50 was designed around a 4.7-liter V12 engine from 1990s Ferrari F1 car. This naturally aspirated motor develops 513 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque, which doesn’t sound much compared to modern standards. However, it’s the raw driving experience that the F50 is known for.

This particular example has bucket seats wrapped in dual-tone leather, while the dashboard is trimmed in Alcantara. The F50 isn’t the most comfortable of the lot, neither is it well-equipped. But that’s not the point of this car, as Ferrari themselves describe it as “a Formula 1 car for the road”.
