THE former king of US sitcoms - Charlie Sheen - was once one of the most well-known faces on television but after a decade of controversy and revelations the famed actor has seemingly lost his sparkle.
The 58-year-old's once chaotic TV career has calmed down a lot since his prime years but recent rumours of his death have taken over the internet despite them being completely false and the star being alive and well.
Who is Charlie Sheen?
Charlie Sheen was born in New York in 1965 and was once regarded as one of the best actors in US TV history.
At the start of his illustrious yet controversial career in the 80's Sheen starred in movies like Red Dawn, Platoon and Wall Street.
He then transitioned into TV and quickly became one of the highest paid actors for his role as Charlie Harper on Two And A Half Men.
He was rumoured to be getting paid a whopping $1.8million per episode of the show that went on for eight years.

Since the popular show axed Sheen, he went on to star in the film Machete Kills as the President of the US as one of his last major roles.
His career on TV however drastically stopped after his dismissal from CBS and Warner Bros.
Sheen's real name is actually Carlos Irwin Estevez and is the youngest son of famous actor Martin Sheen and the artist Janet Templeton.
He's only appeared on a Comedy Central Roast Battle and been in music videos and TV adverts since the decline of Two And A Half Men.

But Sheen hasn't been allowed to leave the public eye much in the past decade over a string of controversies, allegations and revelations.
Sheen told the world in 2015 that he was HIV positive in a blockbuster announcement that shocked many as the actor was infamous for his lavish party boy lifestyle and constant luck with the ladies.
He later made headlines for stories about his drug and alcohol addictions that plagued his life for decades.
The actor has five different children with three different women -Paula Profit, Denise Richards, and actress Brooke Jaye Mueller-Rice.
Sheen was also made a grandfather by his eldest daughter in recent years.
During Sheen’s prime years around 2010 his net worth was $150million, but more than a decade later it has dropped significantly to below $10million.

Despite Charlie Sheen being alive and well, several reports on social media have claimed the star is dead.
Many people - especially on Reddit - have incorrectly said he had died with many fans believing the rumours and getting concerned.
Sheen has confused many over the years, as fans have constantly thought he was dead despite him still being around.
Some have confused his real death with his characters in Two And A Half Men and have misinterpreted articles from the time when he announced he had HIV to mean he was close to dying.
In fact, Sheen is in arguably the best shape of his life - both mentally and physically - after being completely sober for nearly six years now.

Nowadays TV's bad boy is focusing on looking after his family and raising his youngest children in the right way after his previous relationships with his kids haven't gone to plan.
This isn't the first time the actor has faced rumours of his death as tragic hoax's like this have happened to him since his steep decline with the public in 2011.
