On June 3 night, three men staged an attack by driving a van onto the sidewalk on London Bridge in London, England, and later stabbing people at the city's Borough Market. At least 7 people were killed and dozens more were injured. It was the second attack in the United Kingdom in less than two weeks, following a bombing in Manchester that left 22 people dead. Police who responded to the scene shot and killed the three men who drove the van, and have since arrested 12 more.

Intelligence are still working to learn more about the motivations behind the attack, and in the coming days, people will learn more about those who lost their lives on Saturday night, as well.

These are the names of the victims that have been released so far.

Christine Archibald

According to the CBC, 30-year-old Christine Archibald had moved to Europe from Castlegar in British Columbia, Canada. A graduate of Mount Royal University in Calgary with a degree in social work, she had been living in Den Haag, Netherlands with her fiancé, Tyler Ferguson. The two were on a weekend trip to London and had decided to walk around London that night. Tyler's siblings told the CBC that after the attack happened, Tyler "held [Christine] and watched her die in his arms."

In a statement Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mourned the loss. "Canada strongly condemns the senseless attack that took place last night in London, United Kingdom, which killed and injured many innocent people," the statement read. "I am heartbroken that a Canadian is among those killed. We grieve with the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones, and wish all those injured a speedy and full recovery."

Archibald was reportedly struck by the van and died of "multiple, severe blunt crush injuries," according to the Guardian.

Alexandre Pigeard

The Guardian reports that 26-year-old Pigeard, originally from France, died after being stabbed during the attack. Previously, Pigeard was reported dead but his last name was withheld. According to the Guardian, Pigeard was killed in Boro Bistro, where he worked as a waiter. He was reportedly stabbed in the neck and the chest.

Xavier Thomas

According to the Guardian, Xavier was in London for the weekend with his girlfriend when he was killed in the attack. His girlfriend was seriously injured. Xavier's body was found in the water three days after the attack.

Kirsty Boden

The family of Australian nurse Kirsty Boden has confirmed she was killed while running to help others injured in the stabbing and van attack.

"Helping people was what she loved to do in her job as a nurse and in her daily life. As she ran towards danger, in an effort to help people on the bridge, Kirsty sadly lost her life," her family said in a statement, according to the Sunday Morning Herald. "We are so proud of Kirsty's brave actions which demonstrate how selfless, caring and heroic she was, not only on that night, but throughout all of her life. Kirsty – we love you and we will miss you dearly."

Kirsty was 28.

Sara Zelenak

Sara Zelenak, an Australian au pair, was killed in the London terror attacks, her mother has confirmed according to the Sydney Morning Herald. Sara had reportedly moved to London in March, and was out with a friend at the time of the attack.

"Our beautiful daughter Sara Zelenak has been confirmed dead," Sara's mother, Julie Wallace, wrote on Facebook according to the Herald. "Unfortunately [her life was] cut short by a senseless act of terrorism. It makes no sense."
