Isaiah Y This movie of the year features Albert Finney's greatest performance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Nathan B DAD *vigorously lifts man onto horse and agressivly kisses him on the lips* Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Alec B Richardson's fascination with and examination of the basest impulses of all people (regardless of class) works well within the story's madcap antics. I think the word "irreverent" was written specifically to describe this movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Deborah H Hilarious movie! Can't wait to watch it again. I'm a big fan of Fielding's work and they all did a fantastic job here. Well done! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/17/22 Full Review Audience Member i dont know why it was rated so highly by critics, it is like an immature sex comedy. it was trash and misogynistic with mostly bad humor. the plot was silly and while some characters tried their best to save this film by being over the top, it was just stupid. i dont think every girl would just throw herself at tom jones and the part about it being his mom at the end was just gross, not funny. that horrible hunting scene made me sick in the beginning. personally, i thought the random editor shots and style were very outdated 60ish as well. anyway, a waste of 2 hrs n certainly best picture nominee. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review georgan g Don't see the comedy part, but interesting to see a movie made from a 1749 novel.
