We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk will begin from Haymarket and walk to join the Water of Leith Walkway. This is a pleasant, easy walk on good paths that follows the Water of Leith. It passes through quiet wooded areas, the Dean Village, three Antony Gromley Statues, and some parts of the city. The walk will finish at Leith, where we will have our packed lunch, although there are plenty of cafes in this area. There is an option to catch a bus back to Waverley or walk. The walk to Waverley is approximately 50 minutes.
For those meeting at Livingston North Train Station, we will take the 9:06 train to Haymarket. Please buy a return ticket for Edinburgh Waverley.
Livingston North Railway Station. Meet on the platform for Edinburgh at 9am
Haymarket Station. Meet at Barrier at 9.30am
