Stubbe Springs is a 12-mile “lollipop” loop hike in the Juniper Flats area. This trail is great for hikers looking for a long loop hike and solitude in the backcountry. It begins in an open valley filled with grasses, desert shrubs, and Joshua trees. The trail then passes through scenic high points, canyons, and mountainous terrain with Pinyon pines and juniper.

On the loop section, you will discover Stubbe Springs, a natural water source with thick vegetation surrounding it. You will also have the option to extend your hike on a short spur trail to the Fan Canyon Overlook and see stunning views of the Coachella Valley.

If backpacking or backcountry camping in this area, permits are required. Camping is not allowed near Stubbe Spring due to the sensitive resources.
