Haley Joel Osment has laughed off shocked reaction to his changing appearance, saying it was "kind of funny".

The actor - who starred in The Sixth Sense - was best known for playing the cute and troubled child in the film, so it came as a bit of a shock when we saw him grown up and dressed as a much heavier Nazi recently.

It was all part of a film, but he's still unregonisable without the uniform.

Now, after countless fans questioned the change, Haley has admitted he found it all funny.

Speaking on The Today Show this week, Haley said: "Luckily with the internet today, people can quickly see why I was dressed as a Nazi. So yeah, that was kind of funny."

He also said he always planned to go to college, and explained why he took a break from film for his studies, saying: "My mom's a sixth-grade teacher, so it was never really negotiable. And luckily, I wanted to go to college, too."

The 26-year-old was filming scenes for film Yoga Hosers in Los Angeles when he was snapped in the shocking outfit, with his hair greased back and a much older face.

But it was the moustache which really sealed the deal, and it's fair to say he looks like a completely different person.

He will star alongside Hollywood actor Johnny Depp and his daughter Lily-Rose in the film.
