The book visualize the amount of time needed to make radio activity non-toxic; (100 000 years). By using human generations (33 years/generation) you can put into perspective the hillarious amount of time it takes.

The black radio activity sign against yellow is a warning sign (toxic) and the beginning of the book.

As you turn the pages the book gets less yellow (1% per 1000 years/spreads)

to end up in white (non-toxic).

The pagination starts with year 2015 (page 1) and ends with year 100 115 (page 200).

“Letter to my dear” was published in a swedish and an english edition by Arvinius + Orfeus publisher.

The aim for this project was to start a discussion about the storage of radioactive waist – a topic that had been nearly absent in Swedish media under many years.

The book and the exhibition resulted in 97 editorials in Swedish morning papers and leading news media. In small country like Sweden (9 million people) this means that we managed to get a national media coverage - without any other news value than the project itself.

Under a week in the middle of November 2015, radioactive waist was a hot topic again.
