Tellaro

Overview

One of the most picturesque villages in Levante Ligure, it is the easternmost district of the municipality of Lérici. The houses in the historic centre are clustered on a rocky spur jutting out towards the sea, at the end of which stands the delightful pastel-pink painted 16th century church of St George. The writer Mario Soldati lived in the village for many decades and dedicated pages full of affection to it. From the small square, a path leads to the so-called Spiaggioni, wild coves where you can swim in an unspoilt setting.
