Males resemble small slim females but often have the scutellum and tergite 1 entirely yellow-haired to produce a full midriff band
Distinguished from them by having a much shorter face, only around as long as it is wide.
Yellow-black-yellow thorax and the first abdominal segment is yellow with a black band between that and the grey-white tail.
