That is primarily because Zuckerberg recently added cattle ranching to his list of hobbies, joining activities like mixed martial arts, hydrofoiling, and CrossFit. With Meta being a complex concept, she apparently thought he was a full-time cattle rancher instead of leading a trillion-dollar tech company with dreams of building a vast virtual world.

In an interview on the Morning Brew Daily, Zuckerberg revealed his daughter's confusion, stating, "If you're like a kid — so, like, my daughters — it's kind of hard to wrap your head around like what Meta is, right? It's this very abstract app, right? You're like a young kid. So my daughter, for a while, just thought I was a cattle rancher."

However, Zuckerberg's daughter seems supportive of his ranching venture, humorously acknowledging his dedication to the imagined business, "Mark's Meats," even though it's not a reality yet. Zuckerberg shared her words, "She's like: 'All right, like Dad, that's clearly what you do. It's like Mark's Meats isn't ready for prime time yet, but you're really focused on it.'"

Despite the confusion, Zuckerberg is passionate about his new hobby. He aims to produce top-quality meat and is experimenting with unique feeding methods. He's feeding his cows a diet of beer and macadamia nuts to ensure they're getting the best nutrients.

Even though Zuckerberg finds humor in the idea of becoming a full-time rancher, he's focused on his tech endeavors for now. However, he doesn't shy away from joking with his family about the possibility of running "Mark's Meats" if he ever decides to step away from Meta.

During the chat with Morning Brew Daily's podcast, Zuckerberg talked about why many tech companies keep laying off workers. He said this trend won't stop soon because companies are changing how they work. They want to be leaner and adapt to life after the pandemic.

Zuckerberg mentioned how companies are realizing it's better to have fewer employees. It's not just about fixing over-hiring mistakes; it's about being smarter and more effective after the pandemic's challenges. This change shows how the tech industry is evolving to be more efficient in a post-pandemic world.
