La Rue: I miss my CSI Miami mates

Eva La Rue said she is heartbroken that CSI: Miami has been axed

CSI: Miami star Eva La Rue has revealed that she is missing her TV co-stars.

The 45-year-old actress is best recognised for playing DNA analyst Natalia Boa Vista in the Channel 5 crime series, which has just finished its filming run in the US.

"I so miss my CSI's! I just miss it and the cast so much. We are a really tight group," she admitted.

Eva would have been reunited on set with her co-stars including David Caruso (Horatio Caine), Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne), Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) and Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe) this week if they were to film the next season, but instead Emily, Adam and Jonathan met up with the actress at a dinner party at her home in Long Beach.

"We would normally be back to work this week, so it's a sad week. I gathered some of the cast at my house because I was missing everybody," she added.

Eva admitted it was "heartbreaking" not being able to say a proper goodbye to the cast and crew, following the announcement that the series had been cancelled after ten years, instead of CSI: NY.

"It is heartbreaking. The saddest thing was we got cancelled during our hiatus so after all our years together, we didn't get to say goodbye," she explained.

"We knew one of the CSI shows was on the chopping block... but we didn't think it was going to be us," she added.

:: The tenth and final series of CSI: Miami is shown on Saturday evenings on Channel 5.
