Sir Tom Jones is reportedly 'in talks' to return to The Voice when it transitions to ITV for its sixth series next year.

The musician had previously been dropped from the show's panel of mentors, though reports now suggest ITV are keen to get him back for their own iteration of the singing competition.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "The people at ITV are aware there were reasons why the BBC wanted him out, but he's a big name and they are keen to get him back - especially if it's on far less money."

Indeed, the channel seems confident Jones would be willing to take a fairly major pay cut for his return; reportedly seeing his earnings reduced from £500,000 as an employee of the BBC, to a mere £150,000 for ITV.

He previously admitted to his fury when bosses originally axed him from the show, having been a judge on the panel since its first series, telling the broadcaster to "go f**k themselves" in an angry rant.

He also claims not to have been given any warning of his dismissal; so ITV's offer may turn out too tempting to resist. Does he just love those spinning chairs far too much?
