"The age of chivalry is gone," wrote the British philosopher Edmund Burke at the time of the French Revolution. "That of sophisters, economists, and calculators, has succeeded; and the glory of Europe is extinguished forever." So we must feel today when the very first question that the media are asking of Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton is: "How much will it cost?"

As predicted, the guest list at yesterday's Greek royal wedding was a who's who of European royalty when Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark married stunning Tatiana Blatnik, who works in London as an events planner for the Diane von Furstenberg label. The bride looked luminous in swathes of white lace and will henceforth be styled as Tatiana, Princess Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark. Naturally, perennial best dresser, Letizia, Princess of Asturias, looked incredible in an asymmetrical blue gown intercut with jewels. However, we were also fans of Princess Madeleine's sea-foam-green dress, even if it did smack of bridesmaids' standard issue. The stunning Swede saw her own wedding called off this year over infidelity allegations. Madeleine's recently wed sister, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, and her husband, newly minted royal Prince Daniel, were in attendance as well. Interestingly, the Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony includes a component called "the crowning," during...

Gale Harold recently sat down with Rage to reflect on his time on Queer As Folk. He seems to have a profound respect for the role, and for his character. I can vividly remember what he says his favorite scene is: “There’s a scene that Sharon and I did in my loft smoking a joint. … I feel it’s some of the best work that I did in the show. It’s a moment where Brian is so alone. He actually gets to jack into someone in a way that’s just about love, you know? It’s about what he couldn’t get from his own family; he got it from his best friend’s mother. I think that’s a beautiful thing.”

In London, Princess Eugenie looked rather racy on a recent night out, when she wore silk stockings complete with prominent faux garter belts. Her older sister, Princess Beatrice, kept it demure with a pink silk dress and matching pink Chucks, topped off with a darling pink bow headband. The sisters' cousin Prince William is expected to bow out of attending the June wedding of Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria to commoner Daniel Westling. The Prince, who is president of Britain's Football Association, is expected to blame a busy World Cup schedule, but many suspect that Wills is reluctant to draw attention to himself by attending a royal wedding, especially while the world anxiously awaits his proposal to girlfriend Kate Middleton.
