File this one under BANANAS: FabSugar is reporting that celebrity stylist (and object of my style affection, second only to Mrs. Obama) Rachel Zoe will launch a line of accessories for QVC this fall.
Very few details have emerged about the partnership, but FabSugar does tell us, "We do know that the collection will be sold on QVC launching sometime after her Fashion Week circuit in September and October." Zoe also recently announced a line of clothing that "won't break the bank," so I'm wondering if the two are related? Regardless, I'm much more excited to see what she has going on in the accessories department--this is the woman, after all, who created her signature look by piling loads of necklaces, scarves, bangles, and saucer-sized sunglasses on pint-sized fashionistas like Mischa Barton, Nicole Richie, and Lindsay Lohan in the early 00s. Her motto seems to be, "If you've got an appendage, adorn it," so I'm totally ready for her new line of bling.
Zoe's own jewelry tastes tend towards the gold, the chunky, and the vintage-inspired, so I'm guessing we'll see a lot of that. But more importantly--how much fun will it be to watch her hawking her wares on QVC!? "Rachel, we have a caller from Kenosha who'd like to talk to you." "Ohmigod hi, hi, Kenosha? Wow, that's bananas...wait, do you know how insanely fabulous you will be if you wear my jewelry in Wisconsin? Like, seriously, no seriously I'm not just saying this because like I want you to buy it but you will be SICK if you wear it. SICK. And in like, a good way."
