If ever there were one truism in celebrity beauty life, it would undoubtedly be this: You can't hold a red carpet event without retro glam old Hollywood waves making an appearance. It simply isn't possible.
Problem is, I'm getting a little tired of seeing them everywhere. Or maybe I was, before Jessica Alba (she-who-can-never-do-any-wrong-in-my-beauty-book) popped up at the Spike TV's "Guys Choice 2013" awards this past Saturday sporting them.
Sure, they're gorgeous from the front, but the money shot is from the side. (Veronica Lake would be so proud!)
Her sculpted waves are so totally boss; they're the perfect juxtaposition between sleek and shiny (as expected) yet a tad bit ruffled and lived-in. The few stray strands may have been down to being blown by the wind, but they actually make the typically perfect look slightly more interesting to look at.
Anyway, two questions: 1) Do you love Alba's retro hairstyle as much as I?, and 2) Are you tired of seeing old Hollywood waves on the red carpet too?
