Confirmed: Dita Von Teese Does Not Wear Sweatpants Around the House

In case there was a shred of doubt in anyone's mind, let it be known that glamourpuss extraordinaire Dita Von Teese most definitely does not wear sweatpants around the house. The raven-haired beauty's reputation is based on wearing retro-inspired styles like full skirts and expertly tailored dresses, a wardrobe that doesn't exactly jive well with today's athleisure feel. And because she's a fashion ninja of sorts, Miss Von Teese has found the world's chicest alternative to sweats (via her love of vintage clothing, natch). "I always collected vintage robes and pajamas. In my early teens, I discovered I could buy vintage 1950s slips for next to nothing, and that was my look. I decided I was going to look like Elizabeth Taylor in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and I thought, 'How glamorous but comfortable: I don't have to put on sweatpants!'" she told People Style. "I've loved finding ways to be comfortable around the house, but glamorous at the same time." You really can't be surprised that she picks silky slips as her loungewear of choice. After all, this is a woman who goes to the airport in the world's chicest sundress-and-flats combo. Von Teese did mention Pilates

Von Teese did mention Pilates class in the same interview, so we feel reasonably sure she's in leggings if not sweats. Totally cool with us, so long as she adheres to the styling rules we follow (and skips the colors you should never, ever wear).

Even though we love a good pair of sweats, there's something to be said about proper PJs. Come shop the cutest pairs we've seen this season.
