Uphill, it is advantageous to ski up via the ridge at the innermost part of Tempeldalen. When you come up on the crest and approach the ride. You see it from different angles all the way up and can decide if the run is suitable for skiing.
The steepest of the sleds depends on where you step into the slope. Skiers right closest to the rock is >60° slope and skiers left in the chute/bowl/pot it is 55-45° depending on where you step into. The ride only has sun at 20-22 in the evening during the end of May and June, so it is best to ride it after a cold night and the sun warms up in the snow. The cliff that is skiers right in the entrance can even be skied as it has cauliflower covered during the winter, so you can really test your downhill skiing limits as it is possible to get even more than 60° slope and up to 70°. So close to vertical at the start. Then the ride quickly transitions to 40-45° for about 100m and then stays at a constant 30-35° down to the bottom of the slope.
