Very good for learning how to ski and for a family with kids in different ages, there's something for everyone to like!

For the advanced skier there is not much fun. Uninspiring slopes and few challenges, only 2 black slopes which are very short steep and then transport. Red and blue are okay for a day but then there are lots of green and a huge area for children.

Good thing is that you can split and then easily meet again without being too far away since there are lots of crossing transports. This is also dangerous because you always have to look for crossing skiers, not all are experienced and often comes in large groups so you have to yield. There are lots of beginners in the slopes.

Everything is very expensive, even parking!

Lindvallen: often too many people and long queues, at least the four times we have been there between 2019-2023. Have stayed at Skilodge twice and it is expensive, but I recommend it because of the nearby lifts and simply a comfortable and fresh accommodation. Now in January we lived in a cabin by Gustavstorget and it was ok but a lot of people on the slopes and it doesn't suit me.

Chose Högfjället now in March for quieter skiing as we are not looking for steep slopes and lots of people. Wasn't disappointed and the cross-country trails were also very good! Quiet and nice, a lot of pensioners but also some families with children and younger people. The only negative is that some days the lifts close at 16.30 and after that it becomes completely dead, I would have liked to have had the opportunity to do some evening skiing. Will definitely go to Högfjället again and the month of March is absolutely perfect!

Then, as many others have said, Skistar can charge well for most things, but it is what it is.

Incredibly scattered slopes along a long hill. It takes a couple of hours to get from one side to the other. The slopes are mediocre and short. Unbelievably many people everywhere and long queues. Shade almost all winter even on sunny days. Last but not least, Skistar's price is a robbery. Way too expensive.

+ The staff is fantastic.
+ Was lucky with the weather.
- Accommodation next to the slope, but it was not open, so a tip is to choose accommodation by one of the chairlifts.
- Poor design of the transport routes. set up a button lift over the top like the neighboring mountain.

In the entire Högfjället ski area, week 51, despite minus degrees throughout December, only managed to open the lower part of a single piste. It is also not possible to take the transport lift to Lindvallen. Thank you for the skiing holiday Skistar ....

Super good and very child-friendly. There is a lot to do if you want, such as restaurants etc. Maybe quite impersonal as all the slopes are in a row and do not leave much to creativity.
But very cool to be able to stay in several nice hotels in the middle of the hill. We have stayed at both Victor's (top) Hotel Bügelhof and the old farm. So wonderful with luxury combined with skiing.

Only two chairlifts that do not work most of the time. Joke.

The ski area is great for a family. Been there three years in a row.
But the cleaning of the accommodation was the most disgusting thing I have seen, they ran the same cloth everywhere. The water was thrown right out on the cozy pedestrian street (5m in front of me, splash!). Never again Skistar! Yes I reported it, but the reception was "Aha" and the experience was "I shit in it".
