Lee played the shy and sensitive musical genius Bruno Martelli, who was always battling to pull his classically trained teacher Mr Shorofsky into the 20thCentury with his synth sensations.

Along with being one of the four cast members from the original movie, Lee played Bruno in seasons 1, 2 and 3 from 1982 to 1984, where he was forced to leave the School and work in Caruso’s after the tragic death of his wonderful father Angelo Martelli. Bruno also returned for the series finale in 1987. Lee wrote and performed seven songs during his time on “Fame” including “Murphys Blues” and “Could We Be Magic Like You”.

After “Fame” Lee continued to act, most notably playing an aspiring musician in the 1986 feature film “Crystal Heart”. However Lee went on to follow his real passion which was to compose, produce and perform music. During his eclectic career he has produced songs for Natalie Cole and Kid Creole, played keyboards for Olivia Newton-John and written music for tv shows including “Chicago Hope”.

In 2004, after years of scoring, record producing and performing, Lee composed and produced the first full length CD of his own original music, "Aquabox". More recently Lee plays with a Sicilian band called MODE.
