Baraka was part of Mortal Kombat 11's 25 character starting lineup, and was available to play upon the game's release back on April 23, 2019.
The most famous Tarkatan warrior sliced and diced his way onto the scene when Mortal Kombat 2 dropped in late 1993. He dutifully serves Shao Kahn without fail, though rarely gets sufficient appreciation for his troubles.
Baraka's appearance hasn't changed a ton over the last 30 years as he still wears the same basic MK2 outfit here in Mortal Kombat 11, though we now get a few extra details as additional spikes protrude from his shoulders and he has an armored wrap around his waist. That old school white top with red trim and black pants is still the go to option in Baraka's wardrobe, though.
Baraka has a decent projectile, strong anti airs, safe block strings (save for opponents who are keen on Flawless Blocking) and good combo damage. He also has a command grab and special strike that see him quickly pounce forward, thus he can keep opponents on guard from most ranges.
Baraka isn't the fastest on his feet as he has relatively slow walk speed and dashes. He can be zoned out by characters with better projectiles and his leaping maneuvers are not the hardest to stuff.
Professional players tend to rank Baraka around the middle of tier lists, sometimes dropping him to a bit below average. He definitely has fun game plans that can result in good damage, but he also has more exploitable weaknesses than a good chunk of the rest of the roster.
Never the most flashy or most celebrated, Baraka continues to be one of the coolest foot soldier/grunt types in fighting games. He's absolutely vicious and exemplifies Mortal Kombat's violent and gory nature perfectly, even if he doesn't always get enough credit or buffs.
I think there is a strong connection between abigail and baraka xd if you know what i mean xd
