Milan striker Marco Borriello will return to action on March 21 having been given a retroactive three-month doping ban by the Italian Disciplinary Committee. The 24-year-old has been suspended since December, from when the ban has been applied, allowing him to play again in less than a month.

The news comes as a boost to the Champions League hopes of the Italian side, whose only in-form striker - Ronaldo - is ineligible for European competition having played for Real Madrid earlier this season.
Borriello tested positive for the banned corticosteroids prednisone and prednisolone after a match against Roma on November 11. Despite protesting his innocence, his B-test was also positive.
Then player claimed the substance had entered his body via his girlfriend Belen Rodriguez, who was using medication for a yeast infection.
