Alex was known for her quick wit, dry humor and love of animals. Her family fondly remembers her as a young girl, playfully exploring beaches, riding bikes, and her voracious appetite for reading. As a young woman she was a devoted and loyal friend, daughter, sister and aunt. Alex was generous, humble, sensitive and her beautiful smile would light up a room. Alex started in the restaurant industry, making many friends along the way, and obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2013. Majoring in Marketing Communications Management, she decided to start a career in the BC Public Service. Passionate about her work, Alex fought to make our community a better, safer place. For the last five years she worked for the Ministry of Health providing important messaging for British Columbians on a variety of health-care programs. She was also deployed with Emergency Management BC in response to multiple natural disasters.
Gone far too soon, Alex left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends. As we struggle to find meaning in her loss, we deeply cherish the time we had with her and hope she knew the impact she had on those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the SPCA on her behalf.
