In 2018, an estimated 266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be found among women in the U.S., with nearly 41,000 women estimated to lose their life. That number used to be much higher—breast cancer mortality rates went down 39 percent from 1989 to 2015, according to the American Cancer Society—but the awareness raised and research done around the disease is still very much needed.

This year, Susan G. Komen, one of the biggest organizations committed to fighting breast cancer, is partnering up with Valpak and KitchenAid to give away 25 sets of KitchenAid's cranberry-pink "Cook For The Cure" collection. (The organization and company have been partners since 2001.) Beginning September 25, people will be able to nominate heroes who have taken action in the fight against breast cancer for the "More Than Pink" campaign.

Throughout October, Valpak—you know them as the company that sends blue envelopes of coupons to your house each month—will share some of the submitted stories. Twenty-five winners will then be chosen to receive a full pink KitchenAid set: A stand mixer, blender, two-speed hand blender, and five-speed hand mixer.

There are 500 KitchenAid immersion blenders up for grabs, too, with blender-shaped tickets hidden in winning Valpak envelopes. They'll be easier to spot in your mail this month—throughout October, all the coupon envelopes will be pink for breast cancer awareness month. If you don't already get 'em, you can request coupons here.
