Review: The Dubai Mall

Let’s start with scale.
As the largest mall in the world, the Dubai Mall draws in almost 100 million visitors a year (in 2015 alone, it counted 92 million). It's easy to get lost—there are more than 1,200 shops, after all—but its a great place to beat the Dubai heat and ogle at luxury stores.

What can we find here, or what should we look for?
Just about anything, ranging from ultra high-end designer duds to mass chain retailers. There's also an underwater zoo and aquarium.

Who else shops here?
The mall draws in more tourists from around the world than both New York City and Los Angeles so it's safe to say, everyone.

Any secret tips?
Don’t miss the mall extension, The Dubai Mall Zabeel, which has an additional 63 stores and is just across a 200-metre bridge adjoining the Dubai Mall itself. If you’re visiting between December and February it’s worth noting that the Dubai Shopping Festival is on, which means plenty of bargains to be had.
