I am working on a motor drive that uses 4 large filter caps on the DC rectification circuit. I originally looked at them and said "oh yeah, lucky find!" I desoldered them and they are testing good. I then removed the top cap wanting to confirm damage and was surprised to find the Al case is not bulged at all. I think the spray stuff they coat the board with simply reacted with the rubber caps and caused them to swell like this.
