Japanese cabinet called Shodana * in exotic wood carved with vegetal pattern, flowers and dragons, 2 sliding doors in the top, small leaf in the center with small drawer, 3 drawers in the bottom, decorated with signed wooden panels with inlays (in the style of Shibayama technique) representing snowy landscapes, from Meiji period (1868-1911) XIXth century.

This cabinet is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. Some lacquered panels are signed (see photos), signature illegible. They represent snowy landscapes of Japan, including a view of Mount Fuji, an ancient bridge over a trestle, pagodas, waterfalls, Japanese cherry trees, etc. The leaf is closed by a mother-of-pearl button in the form of a bat.

Remember: some slight accidents on the lacquered panels, wear and scratches of time on the wood (to be recircled by place), look at the pictures.

* Shodana, in other words, "lacquered wardrobe" in Japanese, is a lacquered piece of furniture (which appears during the Meiji period), which one likes to show and which is used as a library or to store the precious kimonos. both decorative and functional.
