Jessica Alba may not be nominated for an Academy Award this year, but like so many A-listers, that's not stopping her from enjoying the most highly-anticipated night in Hollywood. Wouldn't it be boring if the Oscar afterparties were limited to just the nominees? Not to mention they'd be far less stunning without guests like Alba, who brings not only her star power to the festivities but her penchant for gorgeous red-carpet looks, too. After all, she's become just as big of a star in the beauty industry as she has in entertainment thanks to holding the helm at Honest Beauty. So it should come as no surprise that her Vanity Fair Oscar party makeup is made up of her own brand's products.

"It’s all about the eyes. It’s clean and fresh but still modern," says Alba, who got ready alongside fellow partygoer Gabrielle Union while giving Allure a behind-the-scenes look on Instagram. That fresh, modern eye look was created with the help of Extreme Length Mascara + Primer, which is an Honest Beauty best-seller for good reason. "Since the product is dual-ended, it's super convenient and easy to use," she says of the two-in-one, which promises to build length, lift, and definition.

For a glossy look that really picked of the vibe of her Narciso Rodriguez dress, Aurora Bergere applied Honest Beauty Magic Balm Stick to Alba's eyelids "to give it a '70s flair," the makeup artist says. And to really make the look disco-fabulous, she also added a few individual lashes to bring the mascara to the next level.

The product Alba was most excited about incorporating into her look, however, is another balm: the brand-new Honest Beauty Tinted Lip Balm. "I wanted to create a product that felt great and provided a splash of color, but didn't require a mirror to apply," Alba says of the vegan formula, which comes in seven shades. Bergere used only one of those colors, but she used it on her cheeks and lips, proving why Alba thinks it's such a makeup-bag must-have.

Other brands played a part in Alba's look, of course. For example, Bergere applied a bit of Laura Mercier concealer under her eyes, as well as Zuzu Luxe Lip Gloss in Divinity to take the look's shine to new heights.

But when it comes to looking her best on the red carpet, it turns out Jessica Alba's best beauty secrets aren't products at all. "Good posture is everything," she tells Allure. "Make sure you know the best angle in the dress you’re wearing that day. And don’t do the cheek bite or the duck lip — it just looks too extra."
