Tomato Soup Coneflower | Echinacea Prairie Stars™ SERIES 'TOMATO SOUP' PP19427

'Tomato Soup' Coneflower boasts bright red flowers, and with a bold, spicy fragrance matching its vibrant pedals, it is sure to please. This mid-sized plant grows up to 24” to 32” tall and 32” wide and fills with blooms; it is a wonderful choice for a midrange or filler plant in a garden arrangement and looks stunning with tall flowers, like the Anise Hyssop.

The coneflower is native to the central and eastern areas of the United States. It is attractive in a border garden and works well in a pollinator garden. It is easy to grow and attracts a variety of pollinators to the garden all summer. It blooms from mid-summer to the first frost. Removing spent flowers throughout the growing season will encourage new growth. These flowers can be used in fresh or dried flower arrangements or used as feed to attract songbirds.

Tomato Soup Coneflower is very low-maintenance, resilient plant. It grows in zones 4-9 and enjoys full sun. It is deer resistant as well as drought, humidity, and heat tolerant, even doing well in rocky and clay soils. It is perfect in gardens or containers. This showy perennial makes a wonderful addition to any garden.
