Pinhole glasses, has a series of small sized perforations filling an opaque sheet of plastic in place of each lens. It works similar to a pinhole camera; each perforation allows only a very narrow beam of light to enter the eye which reduces the size of the circle of confusion on the retina and increases depth of field.
These pinholes block indirect rays of light from entering the eye, thus preventing them from distorting your vision. The pinhole glasses will limit the amount of light coming in and produce clearer vision.
Vision conditions, like nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, or eye diseases affect clarity of vision / sharpness of vision. The condition can be caused by hyperopia (farsightedness) or presbyopia (loss of focusing ability). With farsightedness you may have a 20/20 vision, but you cannot bring nearer objects into focus.
