Product:-

Maxfactor Smokey Eye Effect Eyeshadow duo is a cream eyeshadow stick available in different colour ranges in UK drugstores and retails at an RRP of £6.99. There is a light and a dark colour at both ends of the stick ( step 1 and step 2) in a cream consistency and it claims to creat a quick blended smokey eye without the need of many tools and brushes and very quickly as well.
The colour I have in the photos is called bronze haze. I got it to store as travel makeup because of the compactness of the stick format.

Review:-
The eyeshadow stick as I said is compact and easy to carry around. It blends well and and looks beautiful on switching. It is quick to apply if you pat with your ring finger and one doesn’t need as many tools to apply it.

If you try and blend it vigorously though it will look muddy. This one needs to be worked gently and patted with the ring finger to blend gently.

I still don’t recommend it because it fails on two basic scales of measurement for a good eyeshadow
1) the colour payout is poor on eyelids
2) it doesn’t stick! This one goes off your lids before you can say eyeshadow. Even with a primer this will last at matt for 2-3 hours and if you try and layer it with setting powder it creases.

I try now and use it as a base for powder eyeshadows or just to touch up if I have applied similar colours from a different product, through the day.

This product is a disappointment. I try and find uses because I have it, but if you don’t have it yet, I’d not recommend spending your money in this.
