MassArt Announces Wearable Art 2014 at Copley Place
Non-Textile Fashion Exhibition and Runway Show Premieres this Fall
Massachusetts College of Art and Design Wearable Art 2014 – Clothing designed by fashion design students using a variety of unconventional materials will be exhibited at Copley Place, September 14th through October 5th, culminating with a Runway Show at center court on Wednesday, October 8th.
MassArt’s non-textile creations illustrate the ingenuity of its students by using conventional and unconventional materials such as window screening, Capri Sun juice boxes, rope, thumbtacks, and more.
“MassArt’s Wearable Art 2014 is about individual and unique expressions of fashion. In showcasing the creative and artistic talents of our students, visitors and shoppers of Copley Place will see intricate detail in ready-to-wear ensembles, expertly tailored coats, and stunning red carpet looks,” says MassArt Professor Jayne Avery.
